Iona’s first fund, Iona Environmental Infrastructure (IEILP), has financed the design and construction of first commercial gas to grid Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant in in Scotland in 2014. Keithick Biogas, an AD bio-methane grid injection plant, processing over 36,000 tonnes per annum of whole crop rye, maize, sugar beet off-cuts, raw silage and chicken litter from local businesses. The plant is located at Keithick Farms, Coupar Angus, Perthshire.
